Children (Age 3-12)

We understand that children have unique needs when it comes to therapy. Our child counselling services aim to create a safe and supportive environment where they can explore emotions, develop coping skills, and grow.

Approach

In the first session, our counsellor will meet with both the child and caregivers to understand the child’s background and concerns. Ongoing communication with caregivers is maintained to align treatment goals and ensure consistent support at home and in other settings.

We use a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of children. In addition to traditional counselling, we incorporate play and arts as natural forms of expression, helping children process experiences and build new skills. These methods allow therapists to better understand a child’s inner world, especially for those who struggle to express feelings verbally. Our services support children facing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges.

Whether they are struggling with:

  • Parental divorce
  • Traumatic experiences
  • Low self-esteem
  • Learning difficulties
  • Hyperactivity
  • Attention deficit
  • Signs of autism
  • Selective mutism
  • Self-harming behaviors
  • School refusal

Our counselors are trained to address these concerns. Our ultimate goal is to empower children to develop resilience, improve their emotional well-being, build healthy relationships, and reach their full potential.
