Kitty is well trained in psychological-based counseling. She holds a Master of Counseling from the University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor of Counseling and Psychology from the Shue Yan University. She has received extensive training in Emotionally Focused therapy, Body-Mind Integrative approaches, Dyadic Development Psychotherapy, Play therapy etc. Kitty is also a Certified Foundation Theraplay Practitioner.

She integrates person-centred approach in her practice to prompt self-awareness, self-acceptance/compassion; enhance capacity of emotional regulation; and reconnect individual’s inner resources to achieve healthy well-being under a non-judgemental and validating environment. 

With more than 10 years experience working in different NGO settings, Kitty is good at dealing with various types of psychological issues such as mental distress, relational distress, trauma, parenting, personal growth etc. 

Kitty is also experienced in facilitating parent-child relationships and guiding parents to adopt more appropriate parenting to meet children’s underlying psychological needs.
