Suzy has an integrative approach to therapy that is primarily strengths-based and person-centred. Where appropriate she draws from her training in approaches such as solution-focused therapy, emotion focused therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She endeavours to create a safe, non-judgemental space and works collaboratively with each client to navigate their thoughts and feelings at a pace that is right for them. She encourages the development of self-awareness, insight, and greater sense of agency in each person she works with.

She treats individual clients dealing with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, grief and loss, stress management, interpersonal and relationship problems, and life transitions. Suzy was born in the UK but grew up in Hong Kong, later completing her postgraduate counselling training in Melbourne, Australia. She has worked in the counselling and social service field for 20 years and is passionate about making counselling services accessible to people from all walks of life. In Hong Kong she worked for 10 years with an NGO in Hong Kong providing support to asylum seekers and refugees. As well as her extensive frontline counselling work with this vulnerable group, she has provided management, training and supervision for multiple teams of counsellors and social workers under the program.
