Empower Carers Program
Local Carers
The Empower Carers Program adopts the “MASS Approach” — eMpower, Aware, Skills Training, and Seek Help — to strengthen resilience and improve the mental wellness of carers in Hong Kong. This is a preventive initiative that promotes early awareness and timely support, encouraging carers to seek help before challenges become overwhelming.
Background
Many family carers experience ongoing stress, anxiety, and depression. Common signs include extreme fatigue (even after rest), constant stress, irritability toward loved ones, feelings of helplessness, low motivation, and loss of interest in previously enjoyable activities. Some situations are complex, involving unresolved childhood trauma and long-standing family conflicts. Without support, these pressures can seriously affect both carers and those they care for.
Our MASS Approach
eMpower

Aware

Skills Training
